Metropolis

This classic film by Fritz Lang is probably one of the first pioneers for science fiction movies of today. It is being released with 25 minutes of newly discovered footage that has been restored and placed into the original film as well as the original score by Gottfried Huppertz. For a little history and synopsis of the film click here. This would be the near original of what was show when it first premiered in Berlin in 1927.

I love silent films, so hopefully I'll get to see it if it's released here in LA. It's amazing how far film has come in nearly 100 years.
