A Rabbit in Your Headlights while on Shutter Island

This is probably on the top ten of my favorite music videos ever made. Most likely number one. I was listening to the song the other day and it's been a while since I've seen the video. It's directed by Jonathan Glazer. A few years ago, a DVD Director's Series collection of his work was released. I highly recommend it. A couple of the directors in the series: Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Chris Cunningham, Anton Corbijn, Mark Romanek, Stephane Sednaoui.

Anyway, the main character is played French actor Denis Lavant. He also stars in one of my favorite French films Les Amants du Pont-Neuf (Lovers on the Ninth Bridge alongside Juliette Binoche. Directed by Leos Carax. It's definitely worth checking out.)

In the video, he walks through a tunnel seemingly muttering to himself like he's crazy. While cars drive by and at some points hitting him. There's something about this video that's mesmerizing. Aside from it being creatively brilliant. Both the song and video. Well, here's the video for you view pleasure.

Rabbit In Your Headlights - Unkle
Directed by Jonathan Glazer

Hope you enjoyed that.

This week's newly viewed trailer. Shutter Island. New movie by Martin Scorsese with Leo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo. Another collaboration by the Scorsese and DiCaprio pairing. Though, I must say, I've enjoyed all the films they've done together thus far. A little thriller, mystery and drama. Just my kind of movie.

Synopsis via IMDB:
Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
