Alrighty...with only a few days left until the Oscars, I figured it's time I put up my predictions. So here it goes.

Sandra Bullock, "The Blind Side" - with a close second from Meryl Streep, "Julie & Julia"

Best supporting actor
Christoph Waltz, "Inglourious Basterds"

Best supporting actress
Mo'Nique, "Precious "

Best director
Kathryn Bigelow, "The Hurt Locker"

Best foreign-language film
"The White Ribbon" Germany

Best adapted screenplay
Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner, "Up in the Air"

Best original screenplay
Mark Boal, "The Hurt Locker" or Quentin Tarantino, "Inglourious Basterds"

Best animated feature film
"Up"

Best art direction
"Avatar"

Best cinematography
"The Hurt Locker" or "Avatar"

Best sound mixing
"The Hurt Locker"

Best sound editing
"The Hurt Locker"

Best original score
"Up," Michael Giacchino

Best original song
"The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)" from "Crazy Heart," Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett

Best costume design
"Coco Before Chanel" or "The Young Victoria" - Usually period piece films get the nod for this one.

Best documentary feature

"China's Unnatural Disaster: The Tears of Sichuan Province"

"A Matter of Loaf and Death" - This one is a Wallace and Gromit short.

That's pretty much it. I totally guessed on the short subject categories as I haven't heard of any of them. So there you have it. Let's see how I do.
