In the groove...I hope

This week saw some weird weather here in LA. The first few days felt like summer came in for sneak preview for what's to come and it sucks. Then it cooled off radically. It supposed to be sprinkling somewhere, but I haven't seen it in my area.

Luckily, I beginning to get my stride back in my writing. Continuing a short story I've been working on and a script that I began nearly a year ago. As any writer knows, having a block of ideas is never good. That's why I have to back away from it before I throw it out the window, metaphorically speaking. Hopefully this little bust of inspiration is only the beginning.

Interesting trailer for this week. The Brothers Bloom. It stars two actors, whose work I admire a lot. Mark Ruffalo and Rachel Weisz. Would love to with either both of them one day. I've met Rachel Weisz once at a screening of The Constant Gardner a few years back. Very kind and gracious and, of course, stylishly good looking.

It's directed by Rian Johnson. He wrote and directed the noir-like flick Brick. A really good film if you haven't seen them. This movie also stars Adrian Brody, Rinko Kikuchi (Babel) and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid from Harry Potter).

Here's the synopsis from IMDB: The Brothers Bloom are the best con men in the world, swindling millionaires with complex scenarios of lust and intrigue. Now they've decided to take on one last job - showing a beautiful and eccentric heiress the time of her life with a romantic adventure that takes them around the world.

It's looks like a fun film. Comes out next month.

Next week begins the countdown for a movie I'm eagerly waiting to see. I mentioned one last week. This next one is near the top of my list. I've been hearing a lot of good buzz about this for a franchise that seemed like it was dying and gathering dust. Here's a hint: "Beam me up, Scotty!"

Anyway... enjoy the trailer for Brothers Bloom.

I know...the weather is pretty crazy lately... just a few days ago it was sweltering!

I'm also waiting for Star Trek! Now, I'm not a fan but I can't wait to see it ;)

Good luck with your script!

Although I can't complain as much as we're pretty luck most of the time in terms of weather.

But now it's freakin' cold!!
